Beautification Awards Breakfast

registration buttonEach year the Portage County Business Council presents beautification awards to recognize individuals and companies who have exceeded Portage County ordinance landscaping requirements. The awards foster and promote community attractiveness in several different categories including:

M&I Bank, Plover, winner of the Business Category
  • Historic Preservation Award
  • Two Family Residential Projects
  • Multiple Family Residential Projects
  • Businesses with more than 50 Employees
  • Businesses With Under 50 Employees
  • Public/Institutional Projects
  • Developers: developers who incorporate restrictive covenants requiring landscaping and/or preservation of unique landscaping elements in the design of subdivisions, plats or large scale developments
  • Redevelopment Award: Where a redevelopment project results in a considerable improvement to an area or neighborhood
  • Special Recognition Award

    • Previously Completed Projects
    • Continuing Commitment to Site
    • Maintenance and Aesthetics
    • Other Appropriate Projects

Winners in each category are selected and presented during the Beautification Awards Breakfast in October. A short breakfast program with speaker is followed by the award presentations.

Central Wisconsin Credit Union, winner of the
Redevelopment Category.

Portage County Business Council members are invited to help sponsor this event. Sponsorship levels of $150 help defray complimentary meal costs and speaker fees.
