LPC ALUMNI

LPC Alumni LogoThe Leadership process continues after graduating from Leadership Portage County. All graduates are valued Alumni and are kept informed about the current LPC Program and Alumni events through the Portage County Business Council Newsletter and through e-mails. Alumni are encouraged to serve on one of three LPC committees, which guide and shape future programs.

The Alumni Activities Committee was established to support the Leadership Program by providing opportunities for graduates to gather socially, to continue learning leadership skills and to encourage involvement in community issues. The Committee also raises funds to provide scholarships to new participants and expertise for future sessions.

Members also receive an invitation to the annual breakfast meeting, where varied and valuable information on current issues is discussed with knowledgeable speakers; the Holiday Social; and the Alumni Retreat, where attendees can sharpen their leadership skills and have the opportunity to interact with the current LPC class.

Honorary Alumni Award

The LPC Alumni Committee created the Honorary Alumni Award in 2009 to recognize those individuals who have invested in the LPC program yet are not one of the over 450 alumni. Nominations are being accepted annually. Individuals should be able to demonstrate contributions to Leadership Portage County over time.
